Amiee Z-Spinney’s Private Sewing class

August 28, 9:30am – 3:00pm.

This is a one-day workshop for beginner to intermediate level sewers. A group of six young ladies (13-15yrs) along with their moms, have been invited to join Aimee  to sew a funky shoulder bag made with recycled fabrics and specially designed for the occasion by Just B.  All materials including fabric, thread, tools, sewing machines and an instruction manual to take home, will be provided at the workshop. Each student will have a dedicated workspace and the hands-on instruction and guidance provided by two sewing instructors – Anne Bursey, owner of Just B Designs and Annamarie Retief, fashion designer with over 10 years experience as production supervisor in the South African textile industry .

The workshop takes place at the residence of Anne Bursey, in the beautiful countryside of the Pontiac, in Quebec.  Only 25 minutes from the Byward Market, Ottawa.  Lunch and snacks will be served on the screened-in porch.   Please arrive early, class begins at 9:30 sharp.

Course fees per Mother-Daughter team: $150
A $50 deposit is required on reserving your spaces. (Interac, Visa, Master card payments accepted.)
Please note, a non-refundable $25 fee will be charged for cancellations made after August 22.
Minimum & Maximum number of students – 6 Teams
Lunch menu:  Fresh garden salad.  Roasted new potato with fresh dill and corn salad.  Roasted vegetables with goat’s cheese or BBQ chicken with pesto sandwiches.  On registration, please confirm your preference in sandwich, and advise if you or your daughter have any food allergies or particular dietary needs.
